A late night fire in a vacant building had fire crews out to quickly knock it down in below zero weather. This shot was taken as the crew of Engine 1 was released for the scene and were walking back to their truck. (2013)

In January 2013 Saint John experienced one of its largest residential suture fires it has seen in recent years. This photo was taken in the early morning after the fire was raging for over 5 hours, with total time on scene well into the 24 hour range, not including investigation and demolition .
