A day/week in the Life of a Firefighter.
(working title) Saint John Fire Rescue
Type: One Off
Estimated Completion date: late October 2012 if possible
Estimated shooting dates: July 23-29 if possible
Estimated length of final cut: 90-100 minutes
The goal of the program is to inform the public of the inner workings of a
Full time Fire Department in Canada.
What goes on inside a Station, on scene and in Training.
If possible go on every call, shoot every scene, and talk to personnel.
There isn’t a real script per-say. I’m really just going to have to see what I shoot in 24hrs
My goal ‘battle plan’ is try and be embedded into an Engine Company.
Spend a week, Monday to Sunday with each station 1 through 8 ( there is no station 3)
just like a war journalist is embedded into an Army unit. I wont be a 3rd party presence,
I’ll be along side the firefighters with them every day.
I really don’t know what the End product will be like until I Shoot the footage and review it.
I wish to partner with Rogers TV NB
I plan on shooting the Majority of the video on a Nikon D400 or a Canon 60D/7D (Sony XDCAM if possible) with Point of View shots using GoPros and a FireCam.
